11-year-old girl helps deliver her baby brother

NEW LONDON, Connecticut (KTRK) -- An 11-year-old girl is getting a lot of attention for helping with her baby brother.

Angie Valverde of New London, Connecticut, was the only one home when her mom went into labor.

She was standing next to her mom's bed when mom started giving birth.

Angie grabbed the baby as he fell into her hands and kept him safe until paramedics arrived.
