HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A $10,000 reward is now being offered in the July murder of a man who was shot in a vehicle in southeast Houston.

The killer responsible in the July 9 murder of Giovanni Rios is still unknown.

Rios was gunned down as he rode in the back seat of a Chevy Tahoe in the 12300 block of the Gulf Freeway feeder around 1:30am. He died from his injuries.

Police say video surveillance cameras captured images of two cars driving in front of the complainant's vehicle during the incident. A possible suspect appears to lean out the back passenger window of a car, and shoot in the direction of the complainant's vehicle.

Rios' family is requesting help from the community in finding the individual responsible for this murder.
