FORT WORTH, TX -- Fort Worth police say they're reviewing a detective's body of work after it was found that he didn't "fully and completely" investigate sexual abuse allegations made by children against their father in 2006.

Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports the father was recently arrested and the case raised concerns about the work of the Crimes Against Children detective assigned the 2006 case. The father was arrested last month on three warrants accusing him of aggravated sexual assault of a child and continuous sexual abuse of a child in connection to claims by his children.

Officer Daniel Segura, a police spokesman, says a review of the 2006 case revealed it hadn't been "fully and completely investigated" and authorities uncovered other cases that required investigation.

The detective is reassigned pending an investigation.
