Former UH football player facing capital murder charges

MCLENNAN, Texas (KTRK) -- A former University of Houston linebacker is being charged with capital murder in McLennan County, according to authorities.

Court records show that Zamar Kirven has been charged with capital murder of multiple people.

The victims who were killed were reportedly former high school football teammates of Kirven.

The murders took place in the small town of Mart, just east of Waco, KWTX reports.

Kirven was said to have grown up in Mart. He played for UH during the 2018 and 2019 football seasons.
