HOUSTON -- The proprietor of a popular Washington Avenue late night spot has a plan to deliver a new twist on one of the city's favorite dishes.

Ninja Ramen owner Christopher Huang has signed a lease to bring a new pho restaurant to the Braun Enterprises-owned Ella Plaza shopping center in Garden Oaks that's home to The Union Kitchen. Called Flying Pho, the restaurant will open in December in the space formerly occupied by shuttered bagel shop Toasted.

Huang tells CultureMap that opening in the Garden Oaks/Oak Forest area seemed like the right fit both for the concept and for him personally.
