HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Fire up the pizza oven and get ready to toss some dough! Learn how to make a delicious margherita pizza from Bowl & Barrel chef Luis Santana.

Bowl & Barrel provided the following information to help you make your own pizza at home:

The margherita is not really a recipe but a collection of simple, fine ingredients that are handled with care and cooked to perfection. We use all-natural, unpeeled, freshly crushed tomato by Stanislaus.

Many of our recipes use roasted garlic that we lovingly make in-house on a daily basis. We save the oil from the roasted garlic to drizzle on top of the margherita.

Then, we top the sauce with a high-quality fresh mozzarella. Next we add sliced, vine-ripened roma tomatoes, coarse kosher salt, fresh cracked black pepper and shredded Parmigiano-Reggiano. When the pizza is perfectly cooked, we top it with fresh, hand torn basil leaves.
