This cool and creamy chocolate mousse is the perfect summertime dessert.

Fall weather in Houston is still months away, so if you are looking to lighten up your summertime desserts, look no further than this cool and creamy chocolate mousse.

It's easy to whip up, there's very little to clean up and it's gluten free and paleo. Thanks to one surprise ingredient, this dessert packs a healthy dose of potassium, folate, and healthy fats.

The secret ingredient? Avocado!

The pastry chefs at Ruggles Black along with executive chef Bruce Molzan developed this top-selling dessert that's just as easy to make at home, as in the restaurant.

    Avocado Chocolate Mousse
    Ruggles Black

    Serves 4-6

    For the mousse:
    4 Ripe Avocados
    1 Cup Cocoa Powder
    1 Cup Coconut Milk
    2/3 Cup Honey or Agave

    Use a Food Processor to mix all ingredients until smooth.

    For the coconut whip (optional):
    Full fat coconut milk
    Vanilla and/or agave

    Place can of full fat coconut milk in the fridge, to allow the fat to separate (best done overnight). Whip the separated fat with a touch of vanilla and agave. Top mousse with coconut whip.
