HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The college football season kicks off Saturday, and we know wings are on the menu for many households. We asked ABC-13 viewers for their favorite spots to eat buffalo wings, and here is the top 10 list:
As one viewer put it, Pluckers has the best plucking wings ever! There's only one Houston location, but the wing bar has great daily specials. Some of the highlights are free appetizers for teachers, all you can eat wings, kids eat free, and deals on drinks. Every Monday there's an all you can eat wings special for $17.99.
The choices are endless at any of the several Buffalo Wild Wings locations around town. Choose from boneless or traditional, then pick between any of the 16 sauces or five seasonings. Looking for a deal? On Wing Tuesdays, traditional wings are $0.50 each, and boneless are the same price on Boneless Thursdays.
With four locations in the Houston area, Wings N Things has been around for over 25 years. Their wings are never breaded. Instead, they're deep fried in stages which they say keeps them hot and crispy on the outside and moist and juicy on the inside. While you're there, check out their gravity defying blue cheese dipping sauce.
There are dozens of Wing Stop locations in the area, so there's likely one near you. You can order online for pickup or dine-in so you won't have to wait for your wings. Their chicken wings, boneless wings, and boneless strips come in 11 flavors. Join their eClub and you'll score a free basket of fries on your birthday.
As one ABC-13 viewer points out, Bonfire Wings have a Louisiana twist. Customers love the wings from the Creole cafe, and there are 11 flavors to choose from. The restaurant estimates that nearly 70 percent of their customers request a to-go- box due to the generous portions. Visit one of their four locations, and make sure to join their eClub for exclusive offers and discounts.
There are over a dozen BreWingZ locations in the Houston area, making it a popular destination for wing lovers. There's also a daily special every day except Saturday that offers some great deals. Kids eat free on Wednesdays. Sign up for their WingZ Club and they'll send you special offers and discounts.
They're known for their waitresses and their wings. Join the Hoot Club and get a free appetizer just for signing up. Also, if you host your Fantasy Football draft party at Hooters they'll throw in a free draft kit - complete with free weekly offers to keep your team coming back to the restaurant.
If you're on the southeast side, check out Bayou City Wings. They've got a spot in Houston, Baytown, and Pasadena with specials every day, including $0.40 wings on college football Saturdays. Join their Fan Club and they'll send some free food your way.
Spanky's was included in last week's Friday Faves for their pizza, and ABC-13 viewers seem to love their wings too. They aren't big on the menu, but they're a favorite. We suggest grabbing a pizza and wings, you can't ever have too much of a good thing.
Buck's Pizza is another pizza place known around town for its chicken wings. They've got 11 sauces to choose from. It's a national chain with locations in Mont Belvieu, Pasadena, and Clear Lake.
