Papa John's giving out free pizza to first responders
If you're a first responder working this weekend, lunch or dinner is on Papa John's in Houston.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- While first responders are busy in this epic flood event, some local eateries are doing their part to make sure they are also well fed.

First responders in uniform can pick up a free medium one-topping pizza from Saturday through Monday at any Houston Papa John's restaurant.

The company said the offer is in appreciation for their service.

The offer is limited to one pizza per first responder, and a uniform must be worn to be eligible for the deal.

Pinkerton's Barbecue similarly is offering free food for first responders, fire department personnel and high water rescue operations.
