HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Good coffee. Good food. Good people.

Pastor Rudy Rasmus, also known to some as Beyonce's spiritual advisor, said that his dream of opening a coffee shop has become a reality.

"Four years ago I embarked on a dream to open a coffee shop with the guidance of a few good friends. Through many ups and downs and starts and stops, it's ready to open," Rasmus wrote.

"Affect people through good coffee to change lives," that's the message on the Throughgood coffee shop website.

Rasmus hopes that the place will be more than just a quick stop to grab a cup of coffee. He wants it to be an experience that can change lives.

Rasmus and his wife, Juanita, are co-pastors at St. John's United Methodist Church.

The coffee shop is expected to open April 15 at 732 West 27th.
