Houston restaurant closes for the summer
A popular Houston restaurant is closing its doors, but only temporarily.

HOUSTON, Texas -- One of Houston's pioneering destinations for comfort food and craft cocktails is taking a break.

"Beaver's Original location on Decatur and Washington has GONE FISHING for the summer," the restaurant announced Monday afternoon. "They will see you in the fall after they're rested, rejuvenated and ready to celebrate 10 years of serving Houston diners Dam Good Food and Cocktails."

A representative confirms that the closure should run through approximately "mid-September" but that a specific return date has not been set. "Watch for smoke signals," she advised.
