$129 Blue Bell? Ice cream from Brenham-based company shipped at a cost

BRENHAM, TX (KTRK) -- Did you know Blue Bell delivers? But it will cost you.

For $129, you can have four half gallons shipped to you, anywhere in the Continental U.S. Higher shipping fees to Alaska or Hawaii apply.

Since Blue Bell reopened after a deadly listeria outbreak, there are still just the five flavors available: Homemade Vanilla, Dutch Chocolate, The Great Divide, Buttered Pecan and Cookies 'N Cream.

On its website, Blue Bell notes, "There is no next day delivery guarantee for shipments delayed due to weather or conditions beyond our control. Under normal circumstances the ice cream should remain frozen for up to 36 hours"; also, "Due to a heavy volume of orders we can only fill a limited number each day. Orders will be taken and sent out on a first come, first-served basis."
