Flooded home destroyed by fire in Katy area

KATY, Texas (KTRK) -- A house surrounded by floodwater has now been destroyed by fire.

Firefighters did the best they could to battle the flames at the house in the 21300 block of Grand Hollow.

It's unknown what started the fire, but it's clear from the air that the home is a total loss.

Firefighters and emergency responders can be seen standing in floodwater around the home. The home appears to have been evacuated.
