Fight ends in deadly shooting near Hobby Airport

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- One person is dead after a violent altercation ended in a shooting near Hobby Airport overnight in southeast Houston.

Investigators said the deadly shooting happened just after 8 p.m. in the 8500 block of Broadway.

Police said a group of men got into some sort of argument when someone pulled out a gun and opened fire.

The victim, possibly a teen, ran in front of some apartments after being hit in the stomach. The victim collapsed and died there at the scene.

Detectives are investigating. We do not know the name of the victim or whether police know the identity of the suspects.
