Faust is the boss of beer in the Houston area

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Step inside a cool space along the East Freeway and you'll see 3,500 cases of beer being produced in an hour.

Founded in 1957, Faust Distributing Company is one of the largest family-owned wholesale beer distributors in Texas, with a service area that includes 13 counties and covers 9,700 square miles in the Houston area.

The warehouse alone sits on 40 acres and is full of 500,000 cases of brews. The most popular brands are Miller Lite, Coors Lite, Dos Equis and Shiner.

"From Ireland to Mexico to Holland, we have beers from all over the ... world," marketing manager David Gillette said.

Faust, a 24-7 operation, prides itself on both quality and quantity when servicing their 4,500 local clients.

"The warehouse is busiest overnight," Gillette added. "When people are closing down, we're just getting started filling thousands of orders for the next day."
