Father's clown mask discipline ends in arrest

BOARDMAN, Ohio (KTRK) -- An Ohio father's attempt to scare his 6-year-old daughter with a clown mask ended in his arrest Sunday.

The father said his daughter had been misbehaving so he decided to discipline her by scaring her with a clown mask.

Police in Ohio said the man wore the mask and chased his daughter around the neighborhood. The girl then ran into a stranger's apartment, screaming about a clown. The man inside the apartment fired a gun into the yard to scare the alleged "clown assailant."

When police arrived they charged both the dad and the neighbor who fired his gun.

The dad was charged with child endangerment and inducing panic.
