HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- All lanes heading inbound on the Southwest Freeway at US-59 have opened after an auto-pedestrian crash caused the freeway to be shut down, according to HPD.

The crash happened at about 4:57 a.m. on Saturday near Bellaire Boulevard.

The lanes were reopened around 9:19 a.m.

Houston police started to direct incoming traffic towards the Fondren Road exit.

According to police, the crash was fatal, but did not give any further details.
