Two killed in multi-vehicle accident
Authorities say a red light runner is to blame for a double fatal accident in NW Harris County

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A fatal wreck in northwest Harris County left four vehicles piled on top of each other last night.

The accident was verified just before 8:40pm on the feeder road of the North Sam Houston Parkway at Antoine.

Deputies say the 17-year-old driver of a Dodge pickup truck ran a red light at the intersection, striking a Chevrolet Tahoe with a family of four inside. The SUV then struck two other cars on scene.

Two passengers in the Tahoe, a 35-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy, both died. A total of six occupants from three of the vehicles were also transported to the hospital.

The 17-year-old driver is also in the hospital, where he's listed in critical condition.

The crash remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement Section.
