Tips for hair growth
Try simple steps to grow hair longer, faster.

Trying to grow your hair out but not having any luck? Aside from extensions, there are a few things you can do to speed up your hair growth.

We all have to face it -- growing your hair out takes time. But PopSugar.com shared a few tricks to help grow those long locks.

First -- turn up the heat in the kitchen by eating more spicy food. Capsaicin is the chemical that makes peppers spicy and it's been shown to promote hair growth by mimicking natural human growth factors.

Next -- drink soy milk. Isoflavones are a type of plant hormone found in soy that resembles human estrogen. They're also known to increase hair growth. So if you like the taste of soy milk, try using it your morning bowl of cereal or a breakfast smoothie.

Start taking a biotin supplement daily. Biotin is found in tomatoes, carrots and romaine lettuce, among other foods. But if you're not eating enough biotin in your diet, it could be hampering your length.

Here's a relaxing option -- give yourself a scalp massage. Or better yet -- ask your spouse to! Here's how it helps -- it increases circulation which stimulates your hair follicles.

And finally -- cut down on stress! Aside from several other ill effects, stress slows down hair growth. Try finding a healthy way to manage it to speed the growth back up.
