Mirror Mirror: How to look your best on gameday

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Are you ready for football season?! It's here, and it's still pretty hot! If you want to look like a fan but you don't want have to buy a ton of sports team gear, Luxington Boutique owner Terin Matlock says to add the team color into your look with accents. During the heat, make sure to wear loose, lightweight cotton clothing.

If you're a jeans girl, wear your favorite pair and throw on some cute tennis shoes or Converses. Wear a lightweight white T-shirt and add on a long cotton cardigan in your team color. Long cardigans that are breathable are really in style!

Next up, you can never go wrong with a loose and flowy dress in your team's color. These dresses look adorable with a cowboy boot, and you can even throw on a hat to keep your face shaded from the sun.

Graphic tees are always fun, but that doesn't mean you need to wear a graphic T-shirt with your team's logo. Instead, find something that includes your team's color and works year-round. For example, I wore a white T-shirt that reads "Lover" in red because I love the University of Houston Cougars! I added a red crossbody bag, and I'm good to go.

Finally, a denim skirt is a must! Pair it with a lightweight T-shirt in your team's color and even a crossbody bag in your team's shades. Then, throw on some tennis shoes, and you're ready for the game!
