HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- It's expensive to build a wardrobe - think of all the summer pieces we have to buy and the winter ones that we only wear items a few items a year. We headed over to Muse Boutique, where owner Lindsay Mousoudakis showed us how to take three of our summer staples and transition them right into fall.
First, check out your summer sundress inventory. If you have a print with some richer shades, throw it on. Then, slide on a bootie and a bomber jacket and layer some necklaces for a casual dinner out.
If you're into a high-fashion look, Mousoudakis says to grab a turtleneck or sleeveless turtleneck. Layer a maxi dress over the turtleneck to turn your hot weather piece to super-cool.
Finally, rompers are all the rage. Find one that will pair well with black tights. Put on a pair of black heels or heeled booties and a long black cardigan. Mousoudakis created a look with a white romper and black tights, and it's a posh look for a girls night out.
