PHOTOS: Bathing Beauties rock vintage swimwear on Galveston Island

GALVESTON, TX (KTRK) -- The Galveston Island Beach Revue, presented by Hotel Galvez & Spa, celebrating Galveston's connection to the days of bathing beauty pageants and classic summer fun hosted "Retro-Active" games for the kids, a charcoal championship cook-off, and classic car show all leading up to the Bathing Beauties contest. Forty contestants competed in vintage and vintage-inspired swimwear for cash prizes as part of the event. The overall winner of the contest was Sherry Kelley Ehrich of Galveston. Hotel Galvez & Spa is the title sponsor and the event is produced by Islander By Choice, LLC (IBC). The coveted Most Beautiful Back is sponsored by Healthmatters Chiropractic.
