Mirror Mirror: Makeup trends you need to rock this season

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Wondering what the hottest makeup trends for fall 2017 are? Senior makeup artist Yaneek Proctor with Nars shared some of her favorite looks at their River Oaks District location:

• Monochromatic makeup: This is actually pretty easy to pull off, and it involves using the same shades on your eyes and your cheeks. For example, use the contour color on your cheeks in the crease of the eyes. Also, choose a lip color in the same color family.
• Smudged eyeliner: Instead of harsh lines, a smudged eyeliner look on both the top lash line and the lower lash line is a big look for fall. You can use your finger to soften the line, or you can use the smudge side of the pencil.
• Matte lips: Instead of that ultra-shine look, a matte lip is all the rage this season. You can achieve the look with the Powermatte Lip Pigment.
• Soft brows: Instead of that perfectly lined brow, this season, a softer, fuller look is in style. You can achieve this with a brow powder.
