Family: Shooting victim just lost prematurely born baby
ABC13's Jeff Ehling reports from NW Houston where a mom was shot and killed.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A woman who family members say recently lost her prematurely born baby during Harvey died after shots rang out in a northwest Houston neighborhood overnight.

According to Houston police, residents heard arguing and then gunfire in the at 2800 block of Stallings Drive at around 11 p.m. Tuesday.

After the commotion, neighbors spotted a woman on the ground in the street, police said.

Emergency personnel responded to the woman who was pronounced dead at the scene.

A description of a shooter was not immediately available. Authorities also did not immediately identify the victim.

The victim's son, though, identified her as 39-year-old Leticia Greer. Family members said Greer did not live far from where she was found.

Relatives also said they don't know who would want to hurt Greer, describing her as a loving and caring person.
