How a Pearland moms group used social media to find one other

PEARLAND, Texas -- New mom, Jessica Cooper, wanted to get out with her daughter in more social situations. She turned to social media and formed The Moms of Pearland Playdates and Mommy Meetups page. The group takes advantage of Pearland's great park system for free places for their kids to play and for the moms to talk. The moms really enjoy the chance to ask parenting questions and discuss anything else that comes to mind. Plus the moms also try to hold a once a month mother's night out. Over the years the group grew and now different moms set up playdates.

The group does require you to answer a few questions before you can join their group.
