Bizarre brassieres, sandcastles and other happenings this weekend in the Houston area

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- It's that time of year again! Saturday is the AIA Sandcastle Competition at East Beach in Galveston where 60 teams will compete to build the best sandcastle and take home the prestigious golden sandcastle. The event is free, but parking is $10 cash only. Building begins around 9am, and awards start at 4:30pm.

While in Galveston, drive on over to the first annual Corvettes Cruisin Galveston Grand Corvette Show on the Strand this Saturday between 9am and 4pm. Walk down the historical part of town, admire the beautiful 'vettes while listening to great music, and pic your favorites.

Support those who have battled cancer at Brazarre Houston at G Gallery in the Heights this Saturday from 6 to 9pm. Artists create the most artistic bras and then folks bid to take these one of a kind pieces home. This event is a festive and fun way to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Tickets cost $15 at the door and $10 online.

Head over to RA Sushi in Highland Village or the CITYCENTRE for Nick's Week this weekend.
