Kim & Kanye's Wedding: Countdown to "I do"

Hard to believe it's been only two years since media darlings Kim Kardashian and Kanye West became a fashionable power couple. Take a look back at the events leading to their lavish upcoming Memorial Day wedding in Europe.

October 2011: Kim decides to divorce ex-husband Kris Humphries after only 72 days of marriage and an extravagant televised wedding.

April 2012: West releases "Way Too Cold", in which he admits in the lyrics that he fell in love with Kardashian:

And I'll admit I had fell in love with Kim
About the same time she had fell in love with him
That's okay, baby girl, do your thing
Lucky I ain't had Jay drop him from the team

December 2012: After playing coy about a relationship for many months and being photographed together around the world, West announces at a concert that Kim is pregnant, to much applause.

April 2013: Kardashian's divorce is finalized, as she and West are seen together at basketball games and other low-key (for them) date nights.

May 2013: Kim makes her first appearance at the Met Gala in a dress that was panned by critics, but she and Kanye solidified their status as a fixture in the fashion world.

June 2013: As Kanye was releasing his new album, he and Kim announced a more important new arrival: their daughter, North West (called Nori by her family).

October 2013: Just days after she flaunted an already enviable post-baby figure, Kanye proposed to Kim with a 15-carat diamond at AT&T Park on her birthday. No one ever said the man wasn't a romantic.

March 2014: After what were rumored to be "negotiations" with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, Kim and Kanye land the cover at last, looking classy in wedding attire and sharing family pictures with North.

May 2014: As wedding weekend approaches, Kim and Kanye jet to Paris to check on last-minute prep - and drive around in fancy cars, of course.
