Arnold Schwarzenegger says split from Maria Shriver is his 'biggest failure'
In an interview with Howard Stern, Arnold Schwarzenegger said his divorce from Maria Shriver is his 'biggest failure.'

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Arnold Schwarzenegger is on the streets publicizing his latest "Terminator" movie, and it's during one interview that he opened up about the collapse of his marriage.

"This was without any doubt the biggest setback and the biggest failure, without any doubt, and not only failure but you really feel like, 'I'm the blame for it, it was me that screwed up,'" Schwarzenegger said.

During Howard Stern's radio show, Schwarzenegger discussed the split from his wife Maria Shriver. It all happened after it was revealed he had an affair with his former housekeeper Mildred Baena and the two had a son, Joseph.

He says at the time he tried marriage counseling, but says it was the biggest mistake he ever made.

"He said more crap and more nonsense that was absolutely totally counterproductive to our future relationship or to any hope to get together or anything like that...It was just nonsense talk," he said.

Schwarzenegger says things worked out because he, Shriver and the children worked together to have a good relationship after the divorce. He says he also has a good relationship with Joseph.

"He's terrific and he totally understands the situation, and it all has worked out really well," Schwarzenegger said. "It's a very tough situation for him, it's a very tough situation for my kids, it's a very tough situation for my family, it's tough for everybody."
