A new study on virtual flirting finds the more emojis singles use, the more likely they are to hook up.

According to Match.com's annual dating survey, people who use winky faces and other cartoon characters and symbols in text messages tend to have more sex.

Fifty-four percent of emoji users surveyed say they had sex in 2014, compared to 31 percent of singles who did not.

The findings, apparently, hold true for men and women in their 20s, 30s and 40s.
