Loud noises expected as emergency drill conducted at south central Houston high school

The public can expect to hear loud noises today as an emergency drill is held at DeBakey High School in south central Houston.

The school is located at 3100 Shenandoah St near the intersection of SH-288 and MacGregor Way.

Area residents can expect to hear loud noises and simulated gunfire and see an increase in emergency vehicles. This is only a drill and residents should not be alarmed.

Residents are asked to avoid the area from 8:30am - 1:30pm as the exercise is underway.
