Texas Renaissance Festival announces first ever scholarship program

The Texas Renaissance Festival announced that, for the first time ever, it will award three $1,500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors each year. The scholarship program is a continuation of the Texas Renaissance Festival's annual School Days program and will award one candidate in each of the following categories:

  • A student planning to major in the Fine Arts
  • A student planning to major in Education
  • A student planning to major in history, English, or foreign language.
  • "We are excited to announce this scholarship program for the very first time in our organization's 40 years as part of our School Days program, which introduces and engages students in the Renaissance period," said Kim Bryant, School Days coordinator for the Texas Renaissance Festival.
