Every year UH brings in a commencement speaker for graduates. This year the speaker it's the Terminator and governor --Arnold Schwarzenegger

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The University of Houston announced that Arnold Schwarzenegger will be the 2017 commencement speaker.

The university told Eyewitness News that Schwarzenegger will be paid $40,000 for the speaking appearance, and the school will cover travel costs.

According to the University of Houston website, "A commencement tradition is revived at the University of Houston. It is pomp. It is impressive. It is spectacular. It is joy and pride for your family, and a model for future generations to follow."

The university-wide celebration will be held May 12 at 10 a.m.
