Ellen DeGeneres and Walmart team up to cover college tuition for students

BROOKLYN, NY (KTRK) -- Some high school seniors are giving a big "thank you" to Ellen DeGeneres and Walmart.

DeGeneres and Walmart teamed up to cover the cost of their college tuition. More than 40 students from the Summit Academy in Brooklyn, New York appeared on her show where she announced the scholarships.

The entire gift is worth $1.6 million.
