MONTGOMERY COUNTY -- Voters by mail are becoming more predominant in Montgomery County.
Ballots by mail (BBM) carried two-fifths of the early votes cast in the May 24 primary runoff election this week.

As of Friday afternoon, early voters turned out 3,306 (39.2 percent) ballots by mail out of the 8,441 total compared to 5,135 on site (60.8 percent)
A change in legislation is contributing to the BBM turnout, according to Montgomery County Elections Administrator Suzie Harvey, who noted an increase in BBM since the passage.
