Driver killed slamming into back of big rig along Gulf Freeway

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A vehicle slammed into the back of a big rig stopped along the feeder road of the Gulf Freeway, killing the driver.

The accident happened at about 4:30 a.m. The 18-wheeler was parked on the feeder road in front of an auto dealership just north of El Dorado Boulevard.

The big rig driver was not in the vehicle at the time when a car slammed into the back of the truck. The driver of the car died at the scene.

The southbound feeder road was shut down during the accident investigation.

The driver's identity has not been released.
