HOUSTON -- These two dogs survived a crash which killed one of their owners.

They were in a car with another dog and their owners,Yolanda and Charles Futrell when investigators say a speeding car slammed into them, flipping their vehicle. The crash happened in December on the Katy Freeway.

A witness recorded what happened and some of the video, which shows the dogs badly injured is too graphic to share.

Yolanda was killed, along with one of the couple's dogs. Charles Futrell was taken to the hospital and treated in the ICU, but he has since been released.

Firefighters took the two surviving dogs to an emergency veterinarian clinic. The staff at North Houston Veterinary Specialists or NHVS didn't know the names of the dogs, but nicknamed them,"Hope" and "Faith."

A firefighter at the scene created a GoFundMe page for the dogs. The money raised on the site will cover the dogs vet bills.

Investigators say the driver who allegedly hit the couple's car, Gustavo Aybar was illegally street racing. He faces multiple charges.
