DUBLIN, GA (KTRK) -- A Georgia sheriff's deputy is expected to be alright after he was injured during a shootout outside a hospital.

It all happened at the Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin late Sunday night.

Investigators say a Laurens County Sheriff's deputy was hurt after responding to an active shooter call at the hospital.

The active shooter opened fire on law enforcement, striking the deputy in the leg.

Fortunately, the deputy is recovering this morning and no one else was hurt.
