Sheriff's deputy struck by drunk driver back on the job
After more than 7 months of recovery, Deputy Crystal Schooler has returned to protect and serve in Fort Bend County.

RICHMOND, Texas (KTRK) -- The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office is excited to see the return of a deputy who was injured on the job.

Sheriff Troy Nehls welcomed Deputy Crystal Schooler back to work Monday after she spent more than seven months in recovery after being struck by a drunk driver.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office says Schooler was seriously injured when she was hit during a traffic stop on Feb. 17.

The driver in the case was arrested for DWI.
