LA PORTE, TX (KTRK) -- The Harris County District Attorney's Office accepted charges of deadly conduct against two La Porte men in an alleged road rage incident.

On Tuesday, March 15, the La Porte police received complaint calls of shots being fired on Highway 146. The callers advised a white Chevrolet SUV had been driving erratically, when the passenger in the SUV fired shots at a black Ford Focus, just moments before exiting the highway.

Silverio Jimenez, 18, and James Villanueva, 18, were located only a mile away from the scene in possession of a pair of shotguns as well as several spent shells.

They acknowledged discharging the weapons, yet expressed that the firing of the weapon was not intended to harm the other drivers. Fortunately, no one was injured.
