Man found dead along street on south side

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A killer is on the run after a man was found in the street shot dead on Houston's south side.

Residents woke overnight to the sounds of gunshots, and then found the man on Mallow near Ferdinand.

The Houston Police Department says someone shot him multiple times, including several times in the chest.

Investigators believe it's possible the man was killed over a woman.
