HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Two men were arrested last night after allegedly partaking in a robbing spree at an apartment complex in northwest Houston.

According to authorities, a male was found shot and robbed in the parking lot of the Vista Villa Apartments.

A nearby car was also found struck by a bullet which ruptured the gas tank causing a fuel spill, according to Houston Police.

Four other victims from the apartment complex also reported robberies to authorities.

About five hours after the robberies, the suspects were involved in an accident with an off duty officer, which lead to their arrest.

Police say that duffel bags, several cellphones and a toy gun was found in the suspects' vehicle, leading authorities to believe the men were involved in the robbery spree at Vista Villa Apartments.

Authorities led the suspects back to the apartments where victims gathered and pointed out their stolen items.

The two suspects were charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.
