Pilot was able to walk away after crashing at private air strip in Friendswood

FRIENDSWOOD, TX (KTRK) -- A single-engine plane made a crash landing this morning in Friendswood.

The plane crashed while attempting to land this morning around 8am in the 2200 block of Airline in the Polly Ranch subdivision.

The Friendswood Police Department says the plane -- a fixed wing single engine aircraft -- clipped a tree with its wing and spun the aircraft around.

There were no injuries reported.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is on the scene and the Federal Aviation Administration has the runway shut down.
