Bush Literacy Foundation is kicking off the Big Awesome Book Sort today

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Barbara Bush Literacy Foundation is kicking off their Big Awesome Book Sort Friday, March 23.

Volunteers have the option of organizing and packaging books Friday.

On Saturday, volunteers will be sorting over 20,000 books into bags for children.

The children will be able to choose six free, brand new books to help build their own library.

The event will take place at the Region 4 Education Service Center at 7200 Northwest 100 Drive.
