Bargain haunted house provides 'scariest time of your life'

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Looking for a spooky good time this Halloween? Creators of a local haunted house are offering an unbeatable value event.

The organizers say they guarantee you will have the "scariest time of your life!"

It's called Hellusions Haunted House located inside West Oaks Mall. Originally, the haunted house started out in a small neighborhood in the Banuelos family garage, but now 30 years later, the family has gone commercial.

Creator Chris Banuelos says the idea to open up for business came after years and years of their family tradition.

The haunted house offers four attractions specializing in interactive activities such as defusing nightmare situations or escaping a scary room.

There's also a virtual reality experience for $5 a person.

"We want to give people a bang for their buck. We want to give them something different," creator Joe Banuelos said. "So we have an interactive haunt."
