Game 1 of the NBA Finals will tip off between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors on Thursday in Oakland, Calif. But one Cavaliers player is wishing the series could be played in Cleveland instead after watching the disaster film San Andreas.
Starring Dwayne Johnson, San Andreas focuses on earthquakes and natural disasters pummeling the Hoover Dam, Los Angeles, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Although the film is fiction, it still freaked out Cavaliers player Iman Shumpert so much that he tweeted his desire for the series to be played back in Cleveland.
Shumpert then clarified that he was joking, but still encourages fans to see the movie.
Shumpert jokingly suggested the Warriors would be onboard with moving the finals to Cleveland if they watched San Andreas.
The Warriors responded to Shumbert, saying they were perfectly content playing at home.
