7-year-old boy seriously injured in accident after man runs red light in SE Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Police say a child was seriously injured after a man ran a red light in southeast Houston.

The incident occurred on the corner of Cullen and Reed Road around 1:30 p.m.

According to authorities, a man ran a red light and hit the 7-year-old boy.

The child was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

No charges have been filed on the driver at the moment.
