It's back to the books for college students. But with tuition costs on the rise, many high school graduates aren't enrolled in continuing education.

Last year, nearly one in three high school grads who weren't enrolled in college were unemployed, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

With that in mind, Glassdoor released its list of the best companies for those with a college diploma. The list was based entirely on employee feedback, but Costco took the top spot with a 4.0 out of 5 satisfaction rating.

Glassdoor found that the companies that were most promising tended to promote from within and encourage employee growth. Several employers offer internal training and education, as well as mentorship programs.

The top 10 list:

1. Costco - 4.0

2. Whole Foods - 3.7

3. Chipotle - 3.7

4. Publix - 3.7

5. Nordstrom - 3.7

6. Wells Fargo - 3.6

7. Apple - 3.6

8. Starbucks - 3.5

9. Lowe's - 3.4

10. Home Depot - 3.3
