Car fire along west Beltway backs up traffic for miles

HOUSTON -- A car fire along the Beltway is causing a big traffic mess for the afternoon commute.

The fire was burning in a vehicle along Beltway 8 and Westpark, blocking several lanes of traffic.

Cars were backed up for miles behind the car fire.

At this point, we don't know of any injuries. We were able to tell that the driver's side door was open.
