Cab driver dies after being robbed and shot
A cab driver died after being shot during a robbery in Harris County.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A cab driver died after being shot during a robbery in Harris County.

Investigators say the shooting happened at the Stripes Gas Station at 14834 North Freeway early just after 1 Sunday morning.

Witnesses told deputies that taxi cab driver was dragged from the vehicle and shots were fired.

The driver was able to leave the scene. His body was found still in the taxi by a passerby near a vacant multi-story building just south of the gas station location.

The cab driver was using a Yellow Cab vehicle at the time of the shooting.

It's not clear how much money, if any, the suspect may have gotten away with.
