LONDON, England -- A new survey shows four out of five women don't shower shower daily.

Flint + Flint owner Maxine Flint, an English professional skincare company, conducted the study and found that one-third of women in Great Britain say they go three days without bathing. The Daily Mirror says the survey focused on 2,021 women aged 18 to 50.

The study found that almost two thirds of women don't remove their make-up before they go to bed.

"We were alarmed to hear about the number of women not looking after their skin by following basic skin care regimes," Flint + Flint owner Maxine Flint told the paper. "It is so important to clean your face daily and moisturize to slow down the ageing process."

Women say they would like to improve their hygiene, but they blame fatigue at night and in the morning for not showering every day.

"I understand the appeal of a lie-in but skipping a morning wash is both anti-social for the people around us and unhealthy," Flint told The Telegraph. "It's true that today's pace of life is fast, but surely as a nation we haven't become too busy to wash."
